Executive Director

Taylor Stuckert, AICP

Taylor Stuckert serves as the Planning Director and staff consultant for the 20-member regional planning commission, and leads planning efforts across the County, including the Clinton County Land Reutilization Corporation (Land Bank). With the CCRPC he has authored or contributed to several plans throughout Clinton County including: Age Friendly Clinton County Plan, Downtown Wilmington Pedestrian Plan, Clinton County Parks Master Plan, Township Land Use Plans (Union, Richland, Wayne, Wilson, Green, Marion, Jefferson), the Wilmington Comprehensive Plan, Sugar Grove Cemetery Vision Plan, 2013 Sabinatown Plan, Clinton County Trail and Greenway Plan, Blanchester Vision Plan, and Lynchburg Comprehensive Plan. Additionally, Mr. Stuckert’s role involves regularly meeting and engaging with diverse stakeholders in communities throughout Clinton County and at the state and national level on a variety of projects and initiatives related to planning and economic and community development.

Mr. Stuckert is also the Co-Founder of Energize Clinton County (ECC), a non-profit organization founded to lead a community driven response to the economic crisis with support from the Clinton County Regional Planning Commission (CCRPC).

The efforts of the CCRPC and ECC, following the 2008 DHL Crisis, have led to a portfolio of community and economic development programs, which were awarded the 2013 National Planning Achievement Award for Innovation in Economic Planning and Development by the American Planning Association.

​Mr. Stuckert holds a Master Degree in Community Planning from the University of Cincinnati- College of Design, Architecture, Art, and Planning (DAAP) and a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from Butler University. Mr. Stuckert grew up in Wilmington, was a Wilmington High School graduate, and is an 8th generation Clinton Countian.

Mr. Stuckert has represented Clinton County speaking at: 2021 American Planning Association National Conference; 2018 Revitalizing Rural Communities in the U.S. and Japan (NYC/Japan); 2017 Ohio Association of Realtors Leadership Academy; 2015 EDA/NADO Coal-Reliant Communities Challenge Workshop (Grand Junction, CO/Charleston, WV); 2015 Aspen Institute’s Rooting Opportunity: Doing Economic Development Differently (Washington D.C.); Three-Year Training & Networking Program for Leaders in Tohoku’s Recovery & Reconstruction (Japan 2015); 2014 Rural Policy Forum (Globe, AZ); 2013 IEDC National Conference (Philadelphia); 2013 American Planning Association National Conference (Chicago); 2011-Alleviating Poverty Through Entrepreneurship Conference (Columbus, OH); 2011-Institute for the Future 10 Year Forecast (San Francisco, CA); 2011-Institute for Advanced Learning and Research (Danville, VA); 2010-Sinclair Visiting Scholars Lecture (Dayton, OH); 2010-Institute for the Future Practical Visionaries; and 2009-Pop!Tech Conference (Camden, ME).
