Regular Meetings are held on the 3rd Tuesday of each month in the Training Room #204 at the Clinton County Administration Building, 1850 Davids Dr., Wilmington (unless stated otherwise). Applications are due four (4) weeks prior to the desired hearing date.

Our Areas of Focus
The Clinton County Regional Planning Commission is charged with the physical, economic, and social development of Clinton County.
PhysicalIn addition to being the lead agency on physical development for Clinton County, the CCRPC oversees the Clinton County subdivision regulations, the site plan review process, and provides guidance on zoning. In addition, the CCRPC is committed to improving local parks and trails, public spaces, natural resources, pedestrian safety, and housing.

EconomicWe understand that a resilient economy relies on local food, local talent, and support for local businesses. We serve on multiple economic development boards and co-host a monthly networking event with the Wilmington-Clinton County Chamber of Commerce.

SocialWe work to generate attachment to place by partnering with Energize Clinton County, Main Street Wilmington, our local history center, running a fellows program for college students, and combating social isolation among older adults through our Age-Friendly Clinton County Initiative.

Award-Winning Planning
The CCRPC is a 2013 recipient of the National Planning Achievement Award for Economic Planning and Development.
The economic crisis took its toll on Clinton County with nearly 9,000 citizens losing their jobs. The Clinton County Regional Planning Commission (CCRPC) collaborated with Energize Clinton County and began to focus on local business, young professionals, local food, energy, and visioning. Taking a holistic approach, the planning commission addressed all five issues as a collaborative effort.

While the geographic focus of the CCRPC is on Clinton County, we exchange best practices and promote our values across the globe.
Japan SocietyCCRPC Executive Director, Taylor Stuckert, has traveled to Japan in 2014, 2015, and 2018 with the Japan Society to share how rural communities can respond to economic crisis as Clinton County did in 2008 after losing its largest employer.

World Health OrganizationClinton County joined the World Health Organization Global Network for Age-Friendly Cities and Communities in 2018 after launching an initiative to prepare for a substantial increase in the older adult population.

Ohio Rural-Urban PolicyThe CCRPC serves on the board of the C. William Swank Program in Rural-Urban Policy, which is a nationally and internationally recognized research and outreach program focused on priority issues related to rural and urban communities and their growth.
